I just want to take this time to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. As a mixed family we get to celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas which is always exciting! Last night we celebrated the holiday with family and today we are hitting the road in preparation for a couple of days in Southern California before flying to Hawaii on Friday. Over the past seven years we have spent about half of our holiday seasons on the road. Some years it was visiting family and some years it was actual on the road travel.
This photo is of my favorite Christmas on the road. It was taken in Christchurch, New Zealand before we boarded a plane to Melbourne, Australia. I remember how we struggled to find a present that he would like that would also fit in his small backpack. We also had to be stealth with our purchase since Shawn Reece was always with us. Also, leading up to that day he was very worried that Santa would not be able to find him. Eventually we convinced him that Santa Claus was following our travels and would be able to find him and he did. Santa brought him the spy kit and he loved it!
To be honest though, the real reason that was my favorite Christmas is because we were traveling. We were halfway around the world and we were together. I have some great content coming up this next week so stay tuned. Thanks for being there!
