Final Thoughts

This Amex offer comes around once or twice a year and I know that it is a favorite of many.  This along with the Lowe’s 10% back Amex Offer means we have a lot of profitable spend in our future.  Yes this should work on the purchase of 3rd party gift cards or Visa gift cards, or at least it has in the past. I always buy mine in the store so I am not sure if online gift cards code or not, I believe they do but hopefully someone can confirm in the comments. Make sure to check your business cards before they reach their limits.

  1. Even at $50 off, I would spend $5000 on gift cards and my point cost comes to nearly 2 cents per point using a 2% Amex card. This is not a good deal in my opinion.

      • Yep it’s basically 10% off spend almost everywhere (staples sells gift cards for pretty much any national retailer under the sun). I got it on my delta business platinum.

        • It is even better because I get 5% cash back on purchases from office supply stores. I assume they stack so that is 15% off.

          • Yeah if you got it on your Simply Cash card then you will get the additional 5% off. That is a great discount!
