Capital One Venture Getting New $100 Travel Credit?

Capital One may be soon adding a $100 annual travel Credit to the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card. According to notices received by some cardholders, the credit can be used toward hotel and vacation rental bookings made through Capital One Travel.

Here’s the full text:

Good news, your Venture card now includes an annual $100 stays credit for hotel and vacation rental bookings through Capital One Travel. Your credit will be renewed each year on your cardholder anniversary date with no enrollment needed. It will be ready within 72 hours of this message and can be viewed and applied at checkout.

At the time of writing, Capital One has not updated the Venture card’s public page, so it looks like this new credit is not live. This notices were probably sent out early by mistake, so I would think that the credit will be added in the near future.

If this becomes a permanent benefit for all Venture cardholders, it would make the $95 annual fee much easier to justify, making the card similar to the Chase Sapphire Preferred.
