Citi  ThankYou Card Is Losing JetBlue as Transfer Partner

Earlier reports suggested that all no-annual-fee Citi ThankYou cards would lose the ability to transfer points to JetBlue TrueBlue later this year. However, Citi has clarified that the change is much more limited.

According to Citi, only the legacy Citi ThankYou® Mastercard will lose JetBlue as a transfer partner effective September 20, 2026. Holders of other no-annual-fee ThankYou cards such as Citi Double Cash®, Citi Custom Cash® and Citi Strata℠ Card, will continue to be able to transfer ThankYou Points to JetBlue at the current transfer ratio.

The Citi ThankYou Mastercard has been closed to new applicants for years, so the clarification means the vast majority of Citi cardholders won’t be affected. Customers with eligible no-fee ThankYou cards will continue to have access to JetBlue, although the transfer rate is not great. You only get 700 JetBlue points for every 1,000 ThankYou points.

Conclusion

This is good news for Citi cardholders. While the original reports made it sound like JetBlue transfers were disappearing for all no-annual-fee cards, Citi has confirmed that’s not the case.

Having an extra transfer option is also good thing, but that doesn’t mean that it’s a good idea to transfer points to JetBlue.
