Ebates Added JC Penny to it’s In Store Cashback Roster

I received an email today from Ebates saying JC Penny is now a part of the in store cash back roster.  I like the in store cash back offers because it allows you to buy things normal portals don’t, like gift cards.  Stacking offers for Bed Bath & Beyond, when they have in store cash back, is one of my favorite things to do.

Details

You can now earn 2% cash back in store at JC Penny.  You need to link your card first and you can link multiple cards at one time.  The email also came with a 15% off coupon.

For this particular offer if you are using it on normal items it would probably be best to use the coupon online since Ebates is offering 6% back online.

But this could lead to opportunity if you find a JCP store that sells 3rd party gift cards etc.  Especially if you are able to stack it with an Amex Offer.  It probably isn’t worth pursuing unless you can stack it but something you should keep in mind if the opportunity presents itself.

Conclusion

Ebates in store cash back is truly undervalued in this hobby.  It presents a lot of opportunity when you are able to combine it with other offers.  Hopefully the opportunity presents itself in this case as well.

Until then if you had something that you were planning on buying it may be worth checking out JCP.
