Staples No Fee Visa Deal
This week Staples is bringing back an offer that waives the fee completely on Visa Gift Cards. The $200 denominations usually have a fee of $6.95. We saw the same promotion a couple of weeks ago. Let’s take a look.
- No purchase fee when you buy a $200 Visa® Gift Card
- Valid 8/30/20 – 9/5/2020
- Limit 5 per customer, per day.
- You can find the full terms in the weekly ad.
Maximizing This Deal
Cards like the Chase Ink Plus, Ink Cash and Amex SimplyCash Plus will all earn 5X/5% back on these purchases. I also assume you may be able to visit multiple stores and/or ask to do multiple transactions despite the terms, but that is obviously YMMV.
You can also use cards that have the Amex Offer or Chase Offer for Staples purchases, when those are available.
Liquidating Visa Gift Card
The Visa gift card is pin-enabled. The PIN number is usually the last four digits of the card number. You can utilize my previous liquidation strategy or simply use it for normal spend.
We have seen several gift card deals recently, especially from Staples for both Visa and Mastercard gift cards. Most people probably prefer Visa gift cards, so make sure to go to your local store early in the week. As always, it’s best to use gift cards as quickly as possible to avoid any issues with fraud.
