Visa Savings Edge is a free program that gives business owners discounts in the form of statement credits when they use their Visa Business Card at select merchants.
I often talk about Visa Savings Edge when referring to Staples gift card deals and the Chase Ink, so I thought I would provide a post with a little more information about the program.
Which Cards Are Eligible
Most Visa Business Cards are eligible for the program including: Visa Business credit cards, Visa Business Platinum credit cards, Visa Business check cards, Visa Business Platinum check cards and Visa Business Signature cards.
How Does It Work
The program actually works quite simply. First you need to register your eligible Visa business card on their website. Once you receive confirmation that the card is registered, you just use it to pay at a participating merchant. The discount then shows up on your next statement in the form of a credit.
Which Merchants Are Participating
In addition to Staples, there are a number of other well known companies participating as well. Travel brands like La Quinta, Travelodge, Alamo & National all offer discounts along with a number of restaurant chains and online retailers. Click here for a full list.
Registering
- It is quite simple to register a card. First head over to VisaSavingsEdge.com and click the orange “get started” button.
- You are now on the registration page. Simply fill out all of the information and click “Submit” when done.
Conclusion
Visa Savings Edge is a free and powerful tool to save money. While I almost always mention it in correlation with Staples deals, it is important to note that other merchants offer discounts with it as well.
If you find yourself shopping at any of those merchants, it may be wise to use your Visa Business card to make the purchase in order to save more money. Either way, if you have an eligible Visa Business Card such as the Chase Ink, I highly suggest registering it!
