- 10 or more posted debit card purchases/payments from this checking account

Conclusion
This is a great bonus, higher that your average bonuses that we usually see. The previously expired offer page had some language that made it seem targeted although it worked for everyone, myself included. This time around there’s no restrictions in the offer so it’s clearly available nationwide.
The requirements are easy, just 10 debit card purchases. I received the bonus just a couple of days after completing the requirements.

Any updates??? Link has been broken for a few days now.
I’m not getting a working link either. DDG, do you know if this is dead?
Is the link working for others? When I click “open an account”, I get the following “We’re Sorry
We are unable to process your request at this time. Please call 1-800-932-6736 for assistance.”
Do you know if there is a minimum age to open an account and get the bonus?
I don’t see anything mentioned in the promo page
I tried to get an account for my 13 year old but there was a requirement for entering in state ID info (ex license number) so I did not keep going.
I did this in Jan – What a Fluster-Cluck!
With that being said, in the end it was $250 each for the wife, my son, & I.
We just did our own transfer deposit of $25 into the new account and then made $1 payments, 10 times each, to our cable bill to trigger the bonus.
After that we initiated a full withdrawal out to another bank account- once that was completed, we called Wells Fargo and closed the accounts before any type of monthly fee could kick in. There was no hard time given by the CSR’s in closing the account- done in under 2 mins.
Make sure to follow all the requirements, including signing & sending in the paperwork they send you. Once they process your signature paperwork, things seemed to be smoother with the account setup & delivery of debit cards.
Does the account have to open for any specific duration? Any closing fees?
Sorry, forgive the question. You stated “No closing cost.” Plus Ive read the page now. Thanks.
Is there a code for the offer? Usually all WF offers have a code. Without the code it’s useless
I tried today and had the problem with the code…No code….no account….Plain and simple. The associate called and left a message for someone in the corporate offices but no return call as of yet!
Soft or hard pull?
Soft
With this new Mar 24th offer, setting up direct deposits of $500 is not one of the conditions to receive the $250 bonus. It’s only to make 10 debit card purchases/payments within 60 days of opening your account. The $500 direct deposit each statement cycle is just one of the options to have the $10.00 a month fee waived.
Thank you Jeff, missed that. I updated the post.
