Targeted Offer, 60K Bonus for Chase Sapphire Preferred
Chase has sent out some targeted offers by email with a new increased bonus for the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card. These offers don’t bypass the 5/24 restriction, but it could be possible to still get the card if you were targeted and are over 5/24.
The Offer
Earn 60,000 Bonus Points after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. That’s $750 in Travel Rewards when redeemed through Chase Ultimate Rewards. Plus earn 5,000 Bonus Points after you add the first authorized user and make a purchase in the first 3 months from account opening.
Analysis
This offer is better than the current public offer that has a 50K bonus and also comes with the 5K authorized user bonus. To qualify, you must have received an email directly. However, targeted offers sent by mail or email, do not bypass the 5/24 rule, so even if you did receive the offer, you need to be under 5/24.
If you were targeted, but over 5/24, then there might be a way to qualify. Doctor of Credit writes that those who have received this offer, are also able to see the same exact offer when checking their Chase accounts for “Selected For You” offers. These pre-approved offers do bypass the 5/24 rule.
Conclusion
If you are targeted then this is the best offer we have seen in a while. You get 10K more than the regular bonus. Targeted offers do not bypass the 5/24 rule, but check “Selected For You” offers in your accounts and hopefully you see it there as well.
