85K Welcome Offer for Chase United Explorer Card

Chase and United Airlines are offering an increased bonus for the United Explorer credit card. You can now earn a total of 85,000 miles when you spend  $3,000 within three months. However, the annual fee is not waived with this offer. Let’s look at the details.

The Offer

  • Earn 80,000 bonus miles after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months your account is open. Plus, earn 5,000 bonus miles after you add an authorized user to your account in the first 3 months your account is open
  • $95 Annual Fee (not waived)
  • DIRECT LINK

Keep in mind that this is not a public link, but one that is shared on United flights. You need to enter a promotional code from United representative, but if you don’t have a code, just enter 999999.

Card Details

  • Each year, earn up to 1,000 Premier Qualifying Points (PQPs) to help with progress toward United status — 500 PQP for each $12,000 spent on the card annually, maximum of 1,000 PQPs
  • Earn two miles for each $1 spent on tickets purchased from United
  • Earn two miles for each $1 spent on dining (including delivery services) and hotel stays

  • Priority boarding
  • No foreign transaction fees

Conclusion

This is the highest welcome offer from this card, so this is a good opportunity for those that are invested in the MileagePlus program. You can get 85,000 miles after spending $3,000 and paying the annual fee of $95.

Keep in mind that the Chase 5/24 rule does apply here, so not many people will be eligible to apply. But if you are under 5 cards in the last 24 months, then it could be a good opportunity to earn United MileagePlus miles plus gain access to some perks while flying United. With that said, I would probably got for other bonuses, such as this one.
