Alaska Airlines Announces Two European Destinations
Alaska Airlines is pushing ahead with its global expansion with new flights from Seattle to London and Reykjavik, Iceland starting next spring.
Alaska Airlines announced that it will start flying daily between Seattle and London’s Heathrow Airport on its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. This is a route that is popular with both business and leisure travelers.
The Seattle-Reykjavik route will be served by a 737 Max 8 as a spring and summer seasonal service.
Flights to London and Reykjavik mark the fourth and fifth of at least 12 intercontinental destinations that Alaska Airlines will serve from its hometown airport in Seattle by 2030.
Just over a month ago, the carrier announced it plans to start nonstop flights between Seattle and Rome in 2026. Alaska is also planning to launch flights between Seattle and Seoul, South Korea, in September.

At the same time, Alaska is debuting a brand new global exterior design that will be featured on its growing fleet of up to 17 widebody 787 Dreamliner aircraft, taking inspiration from the northern lights.
