Alaska Airlines Launching New Premium Card in 2025
Alaska Airlines announced this two long haul routes out of Seattle, Tokyo an Seoul. Now the airline has also revealed that next year it will launch a new premium credit card.
The company says the new card will launch in the summer of 2025 and describes it as a “premium credit card with industry-leading benefits for guests, built for the global traveler”.
Some of the features of the card include:
- a global companion award certificate valid on Alaska and partner awards.
- 3x miles on all eligible foreign and dining purchases.
- Even faster path to elite status
- Waived award ticket fees
- Alaska Lounge passes
- Wi-Fi vouchers
View from the Wing reports that the card will have an annual fee of $395.
Alaska Airlines guests can join an early-access list to receive an exclusive link to apply for the new premium credit card, once it becomes available.
There’s also an easy bonus of 500 miles just for registering, which anyone can get as long as they register by December 31, 2024. Registered guests will also get 5,000 bonus miles in addition to the welcome bonus on the new card. We do not know yet what that bonus looks like.

Sounds like a huge winner for BA first class award tickets with the companion certificate since the lack of YQ will make them affordable. Go Alaska!
