Alaska Airlines Reveals New Award Chart
Alaska Airlines revealed a few months ago that it would make changes to its award charts sometime in late December. The airline promised Mileage Plan members a simplified award chart to show you where award levels start based on which regions you’re traveling from and to.
Now the airline has published the new charts on its website and they are way too simple, providing less information compared to the older charts.
Redemption values seem to have remained the same as before in most cases, but there could be some devaluations. Let’s see the new charts.

Conclusion
Alaska Airlines previously had separate award charts for each partner. The new chart is much simpler and yes, the airline has simplified it as promised. But now you have just one international award chart for travel between regions. You don’t see which airlines flies a certain route, or which one has the cheapest awards.
Additionally the new award chart page only lists award rates for flights originating in the U.S. or Canada. For anything else, the airline tells Mileage Plan members to search for desired destination and dates to view pricing.
The terms also state that no stopovers are permitted within an international award region.
