Alaska Airlines Raises Cost of Some First Class Awards
Alaska Airlines has made some changes to its Mileage Plan award chart, increasing redemption rates for some first class awards on Alaska Airlines. While this is not a huge devaluation, it can still affect those who use these specific redemptions as cost is going up by as much as 35% in some cases.
These changes will go into effect next month, with the current rates still in place for bookings through February 28. Rates will increase for First Class travel on select redemptions to North America, Hawaii and Central America.
There’s no change for the number of miles required for main cabin awards, saver-level first class, or partner awards.

You can see the Alaska Airlines award chart here. You can select your “traveling from” and “traveling to” region to see how many miles you would need for a specific route, and the upcoming changes will show as highlighted above where applicable.
Conclusion
Alaska Mileage Plan is increasing redemption rates for some first class awards next month. This will apply to Alaska’s longest flights. But the number of miles required for main cabin awards, saver-level first class, or partner awards is not changing.

Flying with them on their B739 from SeaTac to HNL is rough enough…and to charge more for it…yea, I’m out.
Absolutely ridiculous. To raise a first class reward from 70K to 95K. I won’t be flying them any longer.
