Have Your Amazon Package Delivered to Your Garage, Get $30
Amazon Prime introduced a new delivery option last year. Key for Garage is an expansion of the company’s existing Amazon Key service, which already lets Amazon’s drivers deliver packages directly into your home or the trunk of your car. The new service keeps your packages safe by delivering them inside your garage. Amazon is also offering a $30 credit for using the new service for the first time. You’ll need a myQ-compatible garage door opener from Chamberlain or LiftMaster. You also need to use promo code KEY30.
Update 12/28/21: Deal is back but dropped from $40 to $30
The Offer
Receive a $30 bonus with your first order that is delivered to your garage. It comes in the form of Amazon credit. This limited time offer is available until September 30th, 2021. Promo code KEY30.
Key Terms
- Customer must place their In-Garage Delivery order using the Key by Amazon service by March 31st, 2022 at 11:59 pm PST to qualify for the promotional credit.
- Offer available only to Amazon Prime members in select areas who are eligible for Key In-garage delivery. You can check your garage’s eligibility here: amazon.com/eligibleforgarage.
- Offer only applies to products sold by Amazon.com or Amazon Digital Services LLC (look for “sold by Amazon.com” or “sold by Amazon Digital Services LLC” on the product detail page).
Conclusion
An easy $30 credit if you plan to use this service. A previous offer was for $40, so this is a bit less than that one. If you’re worried about your privacy or the safety of your home, then it might be best to skip it.

I just tried it and it didn’t work. Is there a minimum spend in order to use the promo code? I had a $100 purchase in my cart and it was a no go.
This is great option for those who have a garage that:
1) Garage door that has a compatible opener
2) Do not have valuables in the garage
2a) Have a security camera to record activities in the garage
3) Don’t mind a potential security risk of willingly give someone access to your garage
If you don’t meet the above, then this isn’t the best solution for you.
Why would I allow an Amazon delivery person in my garage that contains many valuable items? Amazon suggests that you can obtain an optional video camera to record the delivery, but that seems to be way too much trouble. This is a bad idea that almost certainly will be unsuccessful.
So what what is the option for people in apartment buildings with package rooms? 🙂
You would have to park your car in the lobby of your building and tell Amazon the lobby is your garage.
