Amex Spending Offers, Earn up to 22.5K MR Points and 3.5x Everywhere

American Express has sent out some nice spending offers that are showing up in the Amex Offers section of the online account. These offers are targeted, but definitely log in and check if you see them.

The Offers

These bonus offers are similar to Amex Offers but for general spend. They’re showing up on MR earning cards.

There’s a few different offers available:

  • Get 6,000 MR points when spending $3,000 in one or more transactions (2x extra points per dollar); deal can be repeated 3x for a total of 18,000 points
  • Get 6,000 MR points when spending $6,000 in one or more transactions (1x extra points per dollar); deal can be repeated 3x for a total of 18,000 points
  • Get 7,500 MR points when spending $7,500 in one or more transactions (1x extra points per dollar); deal can be repeated 3x for a total of 22,500 points
  • Get 5,000 MR points when spending $5,000 in one or more transactions (1x extra points per dollar); deal can be repeated 3x for a total of 15,000 points

Key Terms

  • Offer expires 9/29/2017
  • Offer does not extend to any other cards that may be linked to the same Membership Rewards program, such as Additional Cards.
  • When we calculate the additional points benefit for Amex EveryDay® Card products, points awarded under this offer will not be included.

Conclusion

These are some great offers that can get you up to an extra 2x on top of the rewards you already get. On the Everyday Preferred card that would mean a total of 3.5x everywhere. Some offers give you up to 22,500 MR points.
