iPhone Users May Be Due Some $$$ with Apple’s Latest Class Action
Apple has been hit with yet another class action lawsuit. This one alleges a defect in the batteries of iPhones led to slow devices and was further compounded by “throttling” which was secretly done by Apple.
The lawsuit claims the company knew of the defect that led to poorly performing batteries and tried to deal with it by secretly slowing the devices. Customers started complaining about the battery performance back in 2016. Instead of doing something about the batteries, Apple sent out a software update that slowed the performance of the mobile phones.
Because of the battery issues and slow performance, consumers ended up purchasing defective devices, new batteries, and even new devices.

- 9.7-inch iPad Pro;
- Fifth Generation iPad;
- 10.5-inch iPad Pro;
- 12.9-inch iPad Pro; and
- Sixth Generation iPad.
Conclusion
This is the first step in this class action lawsuit. It’s far from reaching a settlement. If you’ve had any Apple devices in recent years, than you’re probably a member of this class action.
