These 14 Photos Look Fake , But They’re Absolutely Real – Sarcasmnation

A few travel related pictures mixed in there.  Some of these are pretty cool.

The credit card product that doesn’t exist (but probably should) – Points with a Crew

I have never really thought about this, probably because I avoid rental cars like the plague.  But after thinking about it I think Ian has a point.  I am surprised there are no car rental credit cards.  It is a much larger industry than Amtrak and they have a card.  It would lead to more people booking direct with the car rental companies.

Biggest ever commercial airlift of horses underway at GSP Airport – Citizens Times

Who knew Emirates has the largest international cargo company out there? Not me!  It sounds like these horses received the first class treatment.  Remember you can get treated as well as the horses with the $1000 off Emirates flights Amex promotion. Thanks Pauline for the tip :)!

Bank of America AirFrance/KLM Credit Card To Be Launched – Doctor of Credit

Not all that exciting to me but people love new credit cards.  That is if you can get an approval for Bank of America.

Chase Authorized User Bonus of 5,000 Points Gone on Chase Sapphire Preferred – Why? Running with Miles

Chase has been tightening the belt big time!  First the 48 month Sapphire rule and now removing the AU bonus on the Chase Sapphire Preferred.  That bonus played a big role in why I recommended that most people would be better off getting the CSP over the CSR.  Charlie makes a valid point – how does this help Chase?  They should want authorized users so that more spend is put on their cards.  They already protected against churners with the 48 month rule and Chase 5/24.

    • Removing an easy $75 bonus from their card seems like a devaluation to me. Especially when you consider that it will likely be rolled out to all cards. That adds up.

  1. I’ve wondered the same thing about rental car credit cards, too. A lot of opportunity there it would seem…points, elite status in some cases, discounts for cardholders booking direct, upgrades, etc.
