This is not entirely unique for Uber since they often will start service before getting approval in new areas.  But when you are in a foreign country and there is a language barrier it would be jarring I would suppose.  My wife had a scary Uber experience in Puerto Rico when there was a language barrier too.

A couple of surprising locations make the list, like Austin.  I recently tried Airbnb for the first time and one of the main draws is price, as well as extra space.  But in these cities it may be better to go the hotel route and probably use your points 😉.

I would gladly welcome WOW Air back because they had some amazing deals from Detroit, self serving I know.  But this sounds insane and it sounds like the leadership has no idea what they are doing/how to run an airline.  I don’t think this ends well.

  1. After you add in cleaning fees, booking fees, and other miscellaneous fees, I have yet to find an AirBNB cheaper than a hotel anywhere.

    Honestly, and I’ve looked a lot, in what cities are AirBNBs cheaper than a discounted Priceline Express hotel? Couch surfing in an occupied residence doesn’t count, that’s just creepy.
