I have always hear the coffee pot being dumped into the toilet gets back splash in it urban legend but I never really considered the refilling procedure.  These planes grab water wherever they are.  That could mean in Mexico etc. You also have no idea which airports upkeep their refilling trucks, how often the lines are cleaned or anything like that.  Ask for bottled water and bring those wet ones on board!

Virgin Atlantic: no cancellation fee on cheap awards – Frequent Miler

You guys know I LOVE myself some Virgin Atlantic bookings.  I have never had to cancel one but wouldn’t you know it I was considering rebooking something else to Vegas this weekend for our meetup.  The $50 involved in cancelling was part of the decision making process but Nick found out that it shouldn’t cost anything!  Their policy is just like British Airways, just not always properly followed I guess.  Great to know going forward though.
