Indonesian passenger flight carrying 189 people crashes into sea – CNBC
Scary stuff! Plane crashes happen so rarely these days it is always a shock when it does. There still has been no word on fatalities or injuries but it doesn’t look good. I hope they are able to find some survivors. It was a newer Boeing 737 Max 8 plane.
Prepare to step into our stepped-up lounges – Alaska Airlines
Alaska will be upgrading their lounges in Portland, Anchorage, Los Angeles, and Seattle. It is always good news when lounges go through improvements. The pictures of the Seattle lounge look awesome and it should be opened next year.
16 new airports and terminals we can’t wait to fly into – CNN Travel
I am most excited for LGA on the list. The remodel was a long time coming there, it is probably the worst airport in America right now.
Chase UR Travel Portal Sold [Us] Out–New Expedia Powered Portal Issues – Milenomics
&
I clumped the Milenomics piece and the Miles Talk piece together because they are similar and both talk about the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal. We had taken a look at the portal when Expedia first took over and hoped this would lead to more booking options. From these two pieces it sounds like it is the opposite so far. Chase has devalued their UR points by making things harder to book or removing the option all together. First they pulled Disney and now these changes. Not looking good so far.
