Pluses and hidden devaluations in AA’s dynamic pricing for domestic awards – Frequent Miler
I had predicted that this change would lead to less partner booking ability and it looks like that is happening. I had not even considered AA’s very customer friendly date changes and that is a great point by Nick. American is sure to point out that you can not change these web special bookings even if they are at the old saver levels.
Popular Bank Sending Out Shut Down Letters – Doctor of Credit
Ryan just wrote about his frustrations signing up for the LifeMiles card. There isn’t a lot of info on what is causing these shutdowns. Maybe they pulled credit reports after the fact etc. and didn’t like what they saw?
Marriott Signs Deal to Bring Moxy Brand to Mexico City – Travel Pulse
As you know I am not a fan of Marriott but their Moxy brand looks pretty cool. And I think it is a perfect pick for Mexico City’s artsy vibe.

Say Mark, how do I get rid of the popup that keeps appearing at the bottom of the screen in my browser on every single visit? I make it a point not to block things like that as a rule so sites I visit can get advertising revenue, but it pops up again and again and substantially detracts from the experience of visiting this and any other BA website. I’m hoping for happy medium rather than blocking things like that off completely (if that can even be done) or visiting a whole lot less BA sites. Any insight is appreciated.
I am not sure if there is a way to but I will see if Shawn knows of anything.
Good luck. I’ve tried to rid myself of innumerable pop-up, pop-overs, etc. They can’t be gotten rid of as far as I can tell.
I was suckered into applying for an Avianca Card. It’s been the hardest 60K miles I ever earned having to deal with Banco Popular. Absolutely not worth it – they don’t have their stuff together.
Everything went really smooth for me and I have already used my miles but I could see it being like pulling teeth with them if there were any issues. Their website is straight from the 90’s too.
Staying at a Moxy near the Milan airport next month, as a matter of fact. Looking forward to it as the pics look pretty cool.
Awesome – let us know how it is.
