I have never been into the best rate guarantees much because they seem like kind of a pain in the ass honestly.  That and I don’t pay cash for hotels often enough for it to be on my radar. But I still love reading about people making it work and Stephen was able to make it happen at Hyatt which I believe is one of the hard beasts to slay. Getting 5,000 points for $1 difference is pretty awesome.
