I am surprised that this has not happened sooner. I would expect American Airlines and Delta to do something similar in the near future if it is successful.

I have never had the desire to check out every state. But I get why a lot of people do. It is fun to have goals and something to shoot for. Things like this, and me chasing all of the baseball stadiums, has you visiting places you normally wouldn’t. Often places you thought you would never like or that would be terrible end up being great. That is one of the things I love most about chasing travel goals, finding the unexpected.

Why would any major airline need to train Private pilots? It is to staff the regionals more than anything. The media is confused… There is no pilot shortage! Just a pay shortage at the regional level. United is passing on very talented captains that are stuck at the regionals and have been for decades.
Regional Pilots do paid such a small amount their first several years, it is shocking how little they make.
I am hoping that on a flight that I am not in a hurry, which is rare, there will be a diversion to Fargo, ND so that I can step foot in North Dakota. I don’t see a reason to go there specially.
That would be an interesting way to knock it off 🙂
