Articles

Ige institutes mandatory 14-day quarantine for all incoming visitors, returning residents – Hawaii News Now

I don’t blame them when people are forgoing warnings and flying to Hawaii anyway.  Hopefully this stops the tourists from going back and forth to the islands.

People Are Putting Their Christmas Lights Back Up to Spread Cheer Amidst Coronavirus Scare – Yahoo

I think this is a cool idea – bring a little cheer back and something for the kids to look at.  Hallmark has also brought back their popular Christmas movies.

Florida Keys to Close Lodging Businesses to Tourists – Travel Pulse

I wish Florida would have shut down all of their beaches a week or more ago.  People were still down there in force for spring break last week.

What to Know Before You Go Sailing in the Azores (+ Tips!) – Megan Starr

I figured I should put some travel inspiration in here too.  The Azores are very high on my list whenever our passports are finally allowed to get back in action.  I enjoy being on the water too so this is perfect for me.

  1. That’s the best thing Hawaii can do, just wish they started that much earlier to stop the spread from the selfish tourist to the islands. The medical system in Hawaii is far beyond incapable lacking the needed equipment to handle a surge in patients. What that news article does not cover is on top of the 14 your struck to your hotel (paying for room service) if your staying longer everything on the island all non-essential business are closed, food is take out only, all parks & beaches closed, all attractions closed. If you still want to risk your life to travel just to be locked in your hotel room for 2 weeks you will also need to deal with hundreds of protesters holding signs and chanting around the airports and hotels that tourist are not welcome here, go home. If you have not realized by now this is not a time for fun travel stay home, stay put and help this situation gain control, stop moving and spreading it. Don’t disregard all the warnings travel regardless then start crying for help when your trapped overseas or in Hawaii locked in a hotel room for 14 days. Don’t even travel state to state as a domestic travel ban is soon to come then you will cry when your stuck in another state and can’t get your meds or that you must get back to care for your parents etc. Just pay attention to what’s going on and stop your movement, its simple
