It is one thing to know it is happening and another thing to see it.  Wow – craziness.

Chase Removes ‘Chase Slate’ Card From Website – Doctor of Credit

This is surprising and not surprising at the same time.  It goes in line with Chase tightening approvals on business cards and the overall fear there is about the economy right now.  The Chase Slate card is aimed at people with lower credit scores and higher risk.  So it makes sense why Chase would pull it off the site but it would also be very popular right now with people looking to get a 0% offer etc.  It is one of the best balance transfer / 0% cards out there.

Cathay Pacific eliminating fuel surcharges (maybe on award tickets?) – Frequent Miler

This is good news for us travelers.  I know Cathay Pacific has been dealing with a lot of financial issues lately and has had to cut down on routes more than most.  Hopefully they are able to make it through to the other side of this pandemic and we can take advantage of these lower prices.

  1. I wonder how any airline could justify a fuel surcharge when the cost of oil is now negative? Perhaps countries should tie bailouts with the elimination of this fraudulent charge.
