Ebay won’t let you appeal cases when your account is suspended – Miles Per Day
Super shady on eBay’s part. It shouldn’t matter – it should go by the merits of the case.
Chase Card Referral Program No Longer Working For Many Cards (Existing Links Still Work) – Doctor of Credit
Looks like Chase continues to shed cost wherever they can. Personal referrals have to be one of the lowest cost acquisition they have so I am surprised to see this unless they are just trying to limit all new accounts.
Is this the end of Airbnb? – Wired
I know a few people in the miles and points space started becoming a Airbnb investor. The risk is much higher on short term rentals versus houses where people live full time. I do wonder how many cities crack down on people buying affordable real estate for short term rentals which drives up the cost of living in popular cities. That is the dark side to Airbnb. It seems like most locations these days are investments rather than an extra room or vacation home etc.

I had a buyer who asked to return an item because they changed their mind. Ebay is allowing them a FULL Month before they have to send the item back to me. Unbelievable. They don’t have to ship it to me until June 3.
I ordered a couple of bluetooth headsets on EBay. The seller dellivered the wrong (much less expensive) items. They did not match the description, photo or model number. Seller immediately bcecame unresponsive. I appealed to EBay – denied without explanation. Last Ebay transaction for me. Total scam. Ebay was zero help. Their appeal process is a joke.
They are not easy to work with when things go wrong – that is for sure.
@Mark- What’s with your hit pieces on eBay? Any connection with the Amazon ad below the post comment button?
Hit pieces? All I have done is shared posts about eBay. I think it has been long known that they are quick to judgement and offer no recourse when they make said snap judgement. We write about eBay deals as well – just as we did yesterday.
I stand with eBay! They are protecting buyers and sellers. Poor Vihn. I think he’s best suited for Alibaba and the CCP.
I think they often overreach. The buyer is a scammer and they often side with scamming buyers.
