I am so tired of this argument and the comments. Taking advantage of offers available to you and following the rules is not “gaming the system”. It is being an educated consumer.  If you don’t feel comfortable with it then don’t do it, but judging others is pointless.

An interesting idea but something I would give a pass on since you can do better with a credit card.  However if you, or someone you know, only likes to use a debit card this could be an option. Something is better than nothing I guess.
