Thanks to reader Larry K. for sending this one in.  Sounds like Sacramento is getting some nice upgrades and an overall face lift. Larry also informed me that Sacramento has some decent international fares from time to time so be on the lookout.

Singapore devaluing 1/24/19 (biz/first awards increase by ~10%) – Frequent Miler

Overall not terrible but if you had you eye on any of these awards you may wanna book them before the changes happen.

About that Zero Financial 3% card…Miles Per Day
I was curious if this card would be the next thing in this game.  Sounds like it is a dud and not worth the hassle.  Sad 🙁

  1. Sac has really needed a lounge, and an all-purpose one is perfect. They have plenty of flights with all alliances, and a good number of Southwest and Alaska flights. It is the honestly the best airport in the middle of CA, given the ease of access. I can be from rental car center to gate in 10 minutes. It’s my preferred departure point, and sometimes domestic fares are even a hair better than out of SFO.
