Regarding any airline elite status, it depends. What does airline elite status really provide? For someone who is already buying business / first class tickets, other than a higher points earning rate, the person receives priority check-in, no luggage fees, priority security, priority boarding, and (for international flights) lounge access — everything that elite status provides, so I’d say no. For someone who is not already buying business / first class tickets, it would depend on how often one travels and how often one would benefit from these things.
Great points – it really does depend on what seats you buy and how often you fly if it is really worth it.
