People always find the loophole in everything. Sounds like it was more about NJ drivers not being able to get rides in NYC and needing to deadhead back but still kind of crazy. I am surprised they don’t let Uber drivers accept or decline rides like they do food orders.

Years ago I had an Uber driver at EWR ask me to cancel because he was an NYC driver and wanted to get a rider that was heading back to Manhattan and not someone like me who was heading to a NJ suburb. Wish Uber would at least allow drivers to see the state of the rider’s destination if it’s still an issue.
