We stayed at the Hana resort in late June for our last night in Maui, and it was fantastic. We also stayed at the Andaz Wailea and the Grand Wailea, but the Hana resort was definitely the adults’ favorite place of the three. (our 10 and 7 year old preferred the Grand Wailea with all of the pools and slides). A couple of things the video did not mention: we also received a Globalist updrade to an ocean front bungalow, so there are bungalows that sleep 4, which we loved, as these are also very close to the pool. We received a welcome letter thanking us for being Globalists, along with a $10 or $15 gift(I don’t remember which) to spend at the general store on site, we bought my daughter a t-shirt that she loves. There are lots of really neat activities that are included with the resort fee, everything from spear throwing to coconut husking to puka shell necklace making. We really wish we would have planned our trip to stay longer, but we loved not feeling rushed going to Hana and back to the west side of the island in one day. And lastly, the “secret” red sand beach is literally a 5 to 10 minute walk away from the resort. We went at 800 AM, and there was no one else there, it was one of the highlights of our vacation, and probably the most beautiful spot on the island!
Awesome info – thanks for sharing!
