I always kinda wince when I read about people booking multiple award flights for the same day when they know they’re not gonna fly more than one. It takes away what is already very limited award space at a decent price from everyone else until it’s too late for anyone else to make use of the space. I can see doing it in an extreme situation like a funeral but otherwise it just smacks of egotism. If they’re that worried about making their flight to their gateway, fly in the night before. Southwest would be an exception since there’s no such thing as saver space with them.
Fair point there. Even Southwest can drive the price up to a new bucket.
