Better Offer for Capital One Spark Cash Plus

Better Offer for Capital One Spark Cash Plus

Capital One recently launched a massive $3,000 bonus for the Capital One Spark Cash Plus credit card. That’s one of the biggest bonuses if not the biggest, we have seen for a credit card.

But apparently you can do even better. Capital One is targeting some customers with targeted offers for a $3,500 bonus with the same spending requirement. And even if you are not targeted, there’s a way you can still get it. Let’s take a look at the details.

The Offer

Earn up to a $3,500 cash bonus when you apply and are approved for a Capital One Spark Cash Plus credit card:

  • Get $500 when you spend $5,000 in the first 3 months.
  • Plus $3,000 when you spend a total $50,000 in the first 6 months of account opening.

Once you complete the spending, you actually end up with a total of $4,500 in cash back since the card earns 2% on all purchases.

How to Get the Better Bonus

The $3,500 bonus we listed above is not available publicly. Frequent Miler reported that some people have received mailers from Capital One with this better offer. If you received one, then you’re in luck. If you didn’t then keep reading.

You can actually get that same $3,500 if you apply through a business relationship manager at a Capital One branch, as reported by Miles Earn and Burn. You can call and ask to speak to a business relationship manager if you don’t already have one. However it could be a challenge to find one.

Card Highlights

  • $150 annual fee
  • 2% cash back on all purchases
  • Earn an annual $200 cash bonus every year you spend $200,000 or more.
  • Transfer cash back to miles if you have a points-earning Capital One card (Venture, Venture X or Spark Miles)

Conclusion

If you are able to get the better bonus then you should. If you are targeted, then it should be an easy decision if you are planning to apply for this card. Otherwise you can try with a business relationship manager if you have a branch nearby. If none of those options are available to you, then you can go for the public bonus.

Let us know if you are able to get this increased bonus.

  1. I have had no luck either. I called 15 branches today, no one can connect me to someone with this title. They as well state that the offers are the same in-branch as on the web. Any readers have success?

  2. I called 10 different Cap One branches in NY, NJ, and CT yesterday. Not one know what a Business Relationship Manager was and they all said the branch has the same offer available as online as they simply bring you to the website and help you apply in-person. Has anyone had better luck?
