Bilt Rewards Partners with Alaska Airlines

Bilt Rewards made a significant announcement today, revealing a new partnership with Alaska Airlines. This collaboration extends beyond point transfers, as it introduces a bonus earning category for Alaska cardholders.

Effective immediately, Bilt Rewards members have the option to convert points to Alaska Mileage Plan at a 1:1 transfer ratio. This addition holds particular significance for frequent flyers with Alaska, as Mileage Plan lacks partnerships for point transfers with other transferrable currencies. You can find more details and link accounts here.

The news comes just days after Bilt Rewards and American AAdvantage announced that they will end point transfers in June of 2024.

But unlike the American partnership, there’s another facet of he Alaska collaboration set to launch later this spring. Alaska Airlines cardholders will begin earning 3 miles per dollar spent when using the Alaska Airlines Visa® credit card to pay rent through Bilt. Notably, this new bonus category will only apply to the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® card and not business cardholders.

This new benefit comes with a cap of $50,000 in rent payments annually through Bilt Rewards. However, these payments will cost you a 3% fee, which is in line with other non-Bilt cards. That just makes it an option to purchase Alaska miles at 1 cent each.

Currently, using the Bilt Mastercard allows you to earn 1 Bilt Point per dollar spent on rent payments, up to $100,000 per calendar year, without any additional fees.
