Capital One Miles Transfers Are Down for Maintenance
Update 10/8/22: We got reports of transfers starting to work again yesterday.
Capital One miles have become much more valuable over the last few years with the additional or transfer partners. You can normally transfer at a ratio of 1:1 to hotel and airline partners, getting better value for your miles.
However, transferring miles has been impossible over the last few days. If you try to do so in your Capital One account, you’ll likely see the image at the top of this article. All transfer partners currently show “Down for Maintenance. Please check back later”.
This has been going on since last Friday, September 23, so it’s almost a week now. That means that you are unable to transfer to any partners at all.
I would think that this is a technical issue that should be resolved soon. But for now it is a major inconvenience for those who have Capital One miles and are looking to book award stays or flights with travel partners.
One Mile at a Time reports that upgrades are being made to the rewards platform.
So while we wait for Capital One to fix this issue, hopefully you have other point currencies that you can transfer from to book your next vacation.
