Chase Freedom Rise Cardholders Now Get Automatic Upgrade to Freedom Unlimited
Chase Freedom Rise is a card that launched last year and is specifically designed for new-to-credit customers.
Freedom Rise earns 1.5% cash back on every purchase and has no annual fee or minimum to redeem rewards. Customers should have or open a Chase checking account with a $250 balance within two days of card application in order to improve their odds of approval. However, once you are approved, there’s no minimum checking account balance required.
Now the Chase Freedom Rise card has added another feature. Cardmembers will be automatically evaluated on their yearly anniversary for an upgrade to Chase Freedom Unlimited. There’s no credit check required for the upgrade.
Criteria for the upgrade includes:
- The cardmembers’ Freedom Rise account is open, and a purchase has been made on the Rise card within the last 12 months.
- All payments have been made on time to all financial lenders in the past 12 months, and no Chase accounts were suspended.
- They do not have an existing Freedom Unlimited account.
Chase Freedom Unlimited has better earning rates. Besides 1.5% cash back on al purchases, you also get 3% on dining and drugstores and 5% cashback on Chase Travel purchases, including airline tickets, hotel accommodations, car rentals, activities and cruises.
