It is Still Possible to Apply for Chase Hyatt 2 Free Nights Bonus

Chase changed the sign up bonus on the Hyatt credit card yesterday, from two free nights to 40,000 points. The new bonus is already showing on the Chase website if you’ve been waiting for it. However, if you missed out on the 2 free nights bonus, you still have a chance.

Chase Hyatt Two Free Nights

The old bonus is still available. You can apply through this working link. As a reminder, you will receive 2 free nights at any Hyatt hotel or resort worldwide after you spend $2,000 on purchases with the Hyatt Credit Card in the first 3 months from account opening.

Analysis

To better understand the value of each bonus and how they compare to each other, we first need to look at the award chart for World of Hyatt.

The 2 Free Nights bonus has the potential to be worth as much as 60,000 points if used at a Category 7 hotel. Even if used at a Category 6, it is still a better bonus. That’s the reason that many travelers who prefer luxury stays favor the 2 night bonus.

On the other hand, a 40,000 points bonus, can only get you one night at a Category 7 hotel. But, it can get you way more than 2 nights if you’re looking for quantity instead of luxury. Points also give you the possibility to book Points + Cash stays that give even more value to your points during Hyatt promotions.

Here’s the Points + Cash chart:

Conclusion

This might be the last chance to apply for the old bonus so if you missed out and were planning to get it, you should do so right away. The card doesn’t fall under the Chase 5/24 rule.
