Chase Hyatt offer

New Increased Chase Hyatt Visa Offer

The Chase Hyatt credit card has an increased offer that matches the highest ever public offer on the card. Let’s take a look.

The Offer

  • Get 2 free nights at any Hyatt hotel or resort worldwide after you make $2,000 on purchases in the first 3 months after account opening.
  • $50 Statement Credit after your first purchase
  • Get 5,000 Bonus Points after you add an authorized user to your account and make a purchase with your card during the first 3 months as a cardmember.

To get the offer, you can try this direct link, or do a dummy booking.

This product is available to you if you do not have this card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for this card in the past 24 months.

Analysis

This offer matches the highest ever for this card, but we’ve seen this same offer with the annual fee waived a long time ago. In this offer the $75 annual fee is not waived. The regular offer on the card is just the two free nights and the 5K authorized user bonus. We’ve also seen targeted offers as high as 50K points.

The great thing about this card is that it doesn’t fall under the Chase 5/24 rule and you get good value out of it. Besides the 2 free nights at any Hyatt hotel or resort worldwide, you also get free night every year after your cardmember anniversary at any Category 1-4 hotel or resort.

Free nights expires within a year, so make sure you have plans to use them when applying. There’s some data points that you’re able to get 40,000 points for expired 2-night certificates, but it’s not guaranteed.

Conclusion

I think this is a good offer that luckily isn’t restricted by 5/24. As to whether or not you should apply, well of course that depends on a number of factors that you will have to take into consideration yourself.

Also, if you recently applied for the card without the $50 statement credit, send a secure message to Chase and ask to get matched to this offer.

  1. Has anyone had any luck getting the $50 statement credit if they recently applied with a link without the $50 credit? I tried via the Secure Message and was denied.

  2. I think the Wife & I will both get this card. If we both are approved, can I add her as an AU and she add me as an AU for the 5K pts.? Also, read that the free night is not good @ Zilara. Is that true?

    • Anniversary Award Night is not good at Zilara. The 2 free nights sign up bonus can be used at Zilara.

Yes you can add as AU to get the 5K points.

      • I think you meant good @ “ZIVA”? So, if Wife & I both have the card, we can add each other as AU and we’ll each have two Hyatt cards.

        • Yes regarding AUs.

And regarding Anniversary Award Night, is says in terms “Not valid at properties in any other category (outside of 1-4)or at Hyatt Zilara or Hyatt Ziva resorts.”

    • My wife got the dreaded pending when she applied for this card about a month ago. She called and got grilled on her other business credit card with Chase?!?!. It was strange, but she ended up being approved.

  3. Link is good over to Hyatt but when I click the link to apply it appears to error out. Same message when doing a dummy booking.

  4. I’ve had this card open for awhile (> 2 years). I’d like to close it and get the bonus again. Any thoughts on how long to wait after closing a card before reapplying?

  5. Regarding the 2 free nights . . . are there any date restrictions? There is a hotel I’m interested in that does not have points nights available for my dates (only cash availability). Does that mean I won’t be able to book my free nights there?

    • Yes, there are certain dates where the free night certs won’t work. Free nights aren’t always available even if points availability is. The inventory for free night / point availability constantly changes so even if something is available today, doesn’t mean it will be available tomorrow and vice versa. At some resorts like Andaz Maui it will be nearly impossible to use a free night cert, at other places you will certain busy weekends and holidays blacked out, i.e. Park Hyatt New York. Overall though you should be able to find a good use for your certs with decent flexibility.

Once you get the free night certs you will be able to check online. You can only book free cert nights one at a time though online. If you want to combine your nights you will need to call Hyatt.
