Chase Might Give You 5,000 Points!
Chase offered Sapphire cardmembers the chance to get World Cup tickets during an exclusive sale on February 10. As you might expect, the sale didn’t go well and many cardmembers including myself were stuck in a loading queue and then kicked off multiple times.
If you are one of those Sapphire Reserve or Sapphire Preferred cardholders that couldn’t get tickets due to this glitch, then Chase might give you a consolation prize of 5,000 Ultimate Rewards points.
Many people have called in ( at 800-436-7970) and complained about the issue and they were quickly given the 5,000 points. You might have to wait 5-10 minutes first to take to a representative but the call itself it pretty quick.
Obviously there’s no guarantee that every called with receive the points, but there are plenty of datapoints that it is still working as of today. If you are awarded the points, then they should post immediately in your credit card account.
