Chase Offering 25K Points to Upgrade to Sapphire Reserve

Chase has started sending out Sapphire Reserve upgrade offers. These types of offers were first teased with an announcement on reddit back in October. Now they are goin g out via email to select Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders.

The Offer

Earn 25,000 points when you upgrade from Sapphire Preferred to Sapphire Reserve by January 31, 2026 and spend $3,000 or more by February 14, 2026.

Conclusion

A bonus of 25,000 points for a $795 annual fee credit card is not very exciting. But this could be an option for those that might not be eligible to apply for the card.

If you never had the Chase Sapphire Reserve card than you can cancel or downgrade your Sapphire Preferred and apply for the current welcome bonus of 125,000 points. That would result in a hard pull and the application would be subject to 5/24.
