Chase Sapphire Reserve And Ritz Card to Lose Access to Priority Pass Restaurants

Priority Pass is a network of airport lounges with over 1,500 lounges and travel experiences in over 700 airports in 145 countries. But some Priority Pass membership also offer dining credits that allow eligible members to dine at a discount in participating restaurants in airport terminals.

Chase Sapphire Reserve and Ritz-Carlton™ Credit Card members currently receive a complimentary Priority pass Select membership that also comes with access other airport experiences such as restaurants. It gives you a $28 discount per guest, up to maximum of $56 off your bill.

The sad news is that access to those non-lounge locations is going away in the next few months.

The upcoming change was first revealed in monthly statements that have posted since March 26. Here’s what it says:

As of July 1, 2024 you will no longer have access to restaurants, cafes, and markets participating in the Priority Pass Select network as part of the Priority Pass Select Benefit associated with your Card. Access to Priority Pass Select’s network of lounges and other select airport experiences is not impacted by this update.

This is normally sad news for those who have these two cards, as it gives members more options to dine at airports, especially if lounges are overcrowded.

American Express was the first credit card issuer to drop restaurants from its Priority Pass membership in 2019, and then Capital One followed in 2023.

But you still have some credit card options that give you access to Priority Pass restaurants such as Bank of America Premium Rewards Elite Card, Capital One Venture X Business, Citi Prestige® and more.
