Chase Sapphire Reserve Cardholders Getting Less Value at Some The Edit Properties
Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders are recently noticing a devaluation of one of the benefits that was added after the revamp just a few months ago.
The new Points Boost feature was added to Chase Sapphire Reserve which meant that points are worth 2x when you book a hotel that’s part of The Edit, and up to 2x when redeemed for both thousands of other top-booked hotels and flights with select airlines through Chase Travel.
But now Chase is not giving Sapphire Reserve cardholders double value for all The Edit redemptions as promised. Some properties where you get a lower redemption value of 165 cents per point (instead of 2cpp) include Chicago (Langham, Loews), Maui (Andaz, Hotel Wailea), Bali (Mandapa, FS), and so on.
The Points Boost page has been updated (possibly on Nov 6, 2025) and now says “your points are worth up to 2x when you book a hotel that’s part of The Edit”.
