Chase Sapphire Reserve Cards Improvement Coming in 2026
Chase launched the refreshed Sapphire Reserve card as well as the brand new Sapphire Reserve for Business back in June. Now the credit card issuer has already revealed upcoming changes for 2026.
But do not fear! This is good news. The Edit credit will be a bit less restrictive, and there’s a new $250 hotel credit that you can start using next year.
$500 The Edit Credit
Currently, Chase Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business cardholders receive a $500 credit for The Edit bookings which comes in two separate $250 statement credits. You can use one $250 credit to book a stay between January 1 and June 30 and the second one between July 1 and December 31.
Next year the semi-annual restriction will be removed.
Starting January 1, 2026, enjoy up to $500 in automatic statement credits annually for prepaid bookings made with The Edit, with a maximum of $250 per transaction.
That means that you can use these $250 credits for two stays at any time during the year.
A two-night minimum is still required.
New $250 Credit
Starting in 2026, Chase Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business cardholders will get up to $250 in statement credits on prepaid Chase Travel hotel bookings for stays with:
- IHG® Hotels & Resorts
- Montage Hotels & Resorts
- Pendry Hotels & Resorts
- Omni Hotels & Resorts
- Virgin Hotels
- Minor Hotels
- Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts.
A two-night minimum is required.
