Chase Slate Card
Chase has re-introduced the Chase Slate® Credit Card. This card was discontinued in 2020 and then later replaced with the Chase Slate Edge card. Now Chase Slate Edge seems to Chase Slate.
Now that we got that little bit of history out of the way, let’s look at the card itself. The main feature of the Chase Slate card is an introductory offer of 0% APR for the first 21 months for purchases and balance transfers. That’s an improvement from the 18 months offered by Chase Slate Edge.
A balance transfer fee applies. You pay $5 or 5% of the amount of each transfer, whichever is greater. After 21 months, a variable APR of 18.24% to 28.24% will apply.
This is one of the best 0% intro APR offers in the market, and it can be a good option if you want to float large purchases. That’s assuming you actually get decent credit limit.
Currently the longest intro APR is offered on the U.S. Bank Shield Visa Credit Card. You get 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers for 24 billing cycles.
In terms of benefits, the Chase Slate card doesn’t offer much. There’s no annual fee and you get access to Chase Offers. Plus you get 6 months of complimentary access to DashPass and $10 quarterly discount on DoorDash orders.
