New Chase Transfer Bonuses for British Airways and Marriott

Chase announced this month two new transfer bonuses for its travel partners, one is a hotel and the other an airline. You can get 50% more points when transferring Ultimate Rewards to Marriott and 30% more Avios when transferring to British Airways.

Between June 1 and July 31, 2022, Chase Ultimate Rewards is offering a 30% bonus when you transfer points to British Airways Executive Club.

30% Bonus Avios

Get 30% Bonus Avios  when you transfer points through 11:59PM EST on July 31, 2022. Bonus Miles will be awarded by British Airways  in your British Airways Executive Club  account when your transfer is complete. For example, if you transfer 1,000 Ultimate Rewards points, you will receive a total of 1,300 Avios.

  • Valid through 11:59PM ET on July 31, 2022.
  • Minimum transfer is 1,000 Ultimate Rewards points.
  • Bonus Avios will be awarded in your British Airways Executive Club account when your transfer is complete.
  • Transfer points here.

50% bonus Marriott Bonvoy Points

Get 50% bonus Marriott Bonvoy® points when you transfer points through 11:59PM EST on August 19, 2022. Bonus Marriott Bonvoy® points will be awarded by Marriott in your Marriott Bonvoy® account when your transfer is complete. For example, if you transfer 1,000 Ultimate Rewards points, you will receive a total of 1,500 Marriott Bonvoy Points.

  • Valid through 11:59PM ET on August 19, 2022.
  • Minimum transfer is 1,000 Ultimate Rewards points.
  • Transfer points here.

Conclusion

Avios is the most interesting transfer partner here, as you can get more value for your Ultimate Rewards points. The 30% Avios bonus is not that rare, and we have even seen a 40% bonus in the past. But it can still make sense to transfer at a 1 to 1.3 ratio if you have a redemption in mind.

With Marriott Bonvoy on the other hand you get a transfer ratio of 1 to 1.5, but considering tha value of Bonvoy points, that’s probably still under 1 cent per point.
