New CLEAR Amex Offer for Gold Cards
American Express recently added a CLEAR benefit to its consumer and business Platinum cards. But now, that same benefit is also being offered to Amex Gold cardholders in the form of an Amex Offer. Let’s see how this offer works.
The Offer
Get 100% back as a one-time statement credit by using your enrolled Card to make a single purchase online at clearme.com by 10/30/2021. Limit of 1 statement credit of up to $179. See terms for exclusions.
- Offer valid online only at clearme.com.
- Not valid for e-gift card purchases.
- Please note, that unless you notify CLEAR that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your subscription will automatically renew for another subscription period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example monthly, or annually). This means that CLEAR will collect the then-applicable subscription fee and any taxes by charging a credit card CLEAR has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law. Offer is non-transferable.
- Limit of 1 statement credit of up to $179 per Card Member.
Conclusion
This s a great to get CLEAR for free if you don’t have a Platinum card, but has a Gold card in your wallet. let me know if you see this offer in any other Amex cards.
It’s strange that Amex is even offering this, as the CLEAR benefit was one of the main reasons for hiking the annual fee on the personal Amex Platinum Card. This CLEAR Amex Offer works slightly differently though. It only applies to one transaction. We have some tips on how to get a discounted CLEAR membership, although I’m not sure if this Amex Offer will trigger if you don’t go through clearme.com.
