Delta released its April SkyMiles Flash Sale that can take you to ancient civilizations, thriving seaside cities and more, in South America. Let’s take a look at the details.

The Offer

Round-trip flights to South America start at 50,000 miles* (plus taxes and fees) when you book by 11:59pm EDT April 19, 2017, and travel from August 1 through November 16, 2017.

Key Terms

  • Must book by 11:59pm EDT April 19, 2017
  • Main Cabin award flights start at 50,000 miles round trip (plus taxes and fees)
  • Delta One award flights start at 105,000 miles round trip (plus taxes and fees)
  • Taxes/fees/carrier-imposed charges depend upon the itinerary, and will range between $50 and $135 round trip
  • Must travel between August 1 through November 16, 2017
  • Offer available for Delta-operated destinations from the contiguous 48 United States to  Brazil, Chile, Argentina, and Peru.
  • Award Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or in all markets.

Conclusion

Delta no longer has an award chart, but based on their previous charts, you’ll be paying 50K instead of 60K for Main Cabin and 105K instead of 145K for Delta One. The latter is pretty nice discount if you have a large stash of Skymiles. If you need more SkyMiles towards a redemption, you can transfer Membership Rewards.
