Chase sent out emails earlier today with a new offer for referral bonuses to get people to sign up for their new Chase Ink Preferred business card. You can generate referral links even if you have a Chase Ink Plus or Bold card.

The Offer

EARN UP TO 100,000 bonus points PER YEAR. Invite fellow business owners to apply for Ink Business Preferred and earn 20,000 bonus points for each business owner who gets the card.

We’ll also offer each business owner 80,000 bonus points After they’ve spent $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. (This matched the current public offer on the card)

How To Get Your Own Referral Link

You should have received an email from Chase with this new offer for referrals. But you can also generate your referrals online at the Chase Refer-A-Friend website. Just enter you last name, zip code and the last four digits of your Chase Ink card.

Chase Ink Preferred 80K Offer

As a reminder, the Ink Business Preferred comes with a $95 annual fee and teh standard public bonus is the same as the one offered through these referrals; 80,000 Ultimate Rewards points after spending $5K within the first 3 months.

The card has the following earning rates:

• Earn 3 points per $1 on the first $150,000 spent in combined purchases on Travel, Shipping purchases, Internet, cable and phone services and advertising purchases made with social media sites and search engines each anniversary year.
• Earn 1 point per $1 on all other purchases

Chase 5/24

Sadly this card falls under the 5/24 rule so it will be out of reach for many people. There’s a new possible way to get around this rule.

Conclusion

This is a great referral bonus. 20,000 UR points are worth at least $300-$350. If you’re able to get five referrals, then you get a whopping 100K UR points. Those you refer will only get the current public offer of 80K with is a great bonus on its own, but the card is not as good as Chase Ink Plus in my opinion, so probably not worth keeping past the first year.
