Transfer Hotel Points to Etihad Miles With a 20% Bonus

Etihad has a new bonus offer this month, when you convert hotel points to Etihad miles.

The Offer

Convert points of any of the participating loyalty programmes into Etihad Guest Miles during April and you will collect an extra 20% bonus miles. You could go from points to miles to holidays, sooner than you think.

The offer is valid for all points to miles conversions made between 1 April and 30 April 2017 (both days inclusive). Offer page.

Conclusion

Transfers won’t make sense from most hotel programs. SPG is probably the best option here, since you also get a 5,000 point bonus every time you transfer 20,000 Starpoints. That’s on top of the 20% transfer bonus that you get through this offer.

We’ve also seen 25% transfer bonuses in the past from Eithad, but those have been rare lately.

  1. No, I won’t transfer anything to Etihad, as they just destroyed their once valuable award chart. This is (to the points game) like cutting off an arm and offering a Band-Aid as first aid.
